Between the Island of Lovers and the Island of Whores

>>> AS TWO HURRICANES THREATEN . . .

That's what I hear - that Mexico is in a squeeze-play between Atlantic and Pacific hurricanes (or potential ones) -- but only the Pacific one, expected to remain well off coast, but flood us with rain, is affecting Puerto Vallarta.

1. This is starting to remind me of a Pet Shop Boys song, "Between Two Islands":

PSB

We sailed on a fishing-boat
between these two shores

the Island of Lovers

and the Island of Whores . . .

2. In any case, my scientific experiment of consuming 200 ml of tequila last night, was entirely mucked up because it was conducted by the observer who was also the subject of it -- LOL!!! And the results were exactly as I predicted and no doubt made happen. HA!!!

Knowing that was all I would consume, I spread the drinking over three hours, which of course kept me from actually getting much of an alcohol high -- but it WAS relaxing, and it did NOT seem to add anger, resentment, or other negative emotions often associated with drinking alcohol, at least for those who cannot handle drinking.

But bottom line, I also knew that if I had more available, I probably would have continued to drink. THAT is the problem, so for now, I should not drink.

3. This leaves me with pondering Alcoholics Anonymous -- whether it is helpful, harmful, or neutral in effect on me. The biggest thing I observe right now is that I felt much better yesterday, and some other days, after getting out and interacting with regular Mexican people on the street. THAT, if anything, seems my best therapy throughout the ENTIRE time I have been in Mexico.

And for the record, I did NOT hear any more from Martin Jacobo last night. He has my phone number, and I just checked and the last I heard from him was actually May 5, 2014, a few months ago, when he texted me asking if I was ready to forgive him for unspecified reasons -- and that a couple of days after he came to my front door and I refused to speak with him.

It seems to me that most of the people in AA have recurring issues so slight-seeming to me that I am envious of such simple, easy problems to solve, but AA gives them an excuse to be weak and ALCOHOL DISEASED. I reject that philosophy, as have nearly ALL the people I ever met who needed to stop drinking, but after a half year or more of AA, left it so they could actually recover, and go on to a life of GREATER productivity and love.

So today I did not go to the meeting -- having had alcohol within 24 hours, I could not speak in meeting -- and I was NOT up to being mute and watching anyone's toilet ritual, anyone prancersizing around the room, or listen to people who don't believe God is everywhere present, always.

It's just not my style.

But at least they aren't drinking (at meetings), and it is GOOD to get out and have discussion. But no one wants to recognize my specific challenges while pitying themselves, so I will decide tomorrow if I want to go back there at all. I don't think I need Alcoholics Anonymous to stop drinking for now, anyway.

>>> INTERESTING NEWS ITEM REGARDING HARVARD UNIVERSITY:

And Harvard President Drew Gilpin Faust REFUSES to discuss with me the FACT that Sewanee and the Episcopal Church, with others, not only murdered Tennessee Williams, but stole his estate from Harvard. Even Nancy Armstrong, head admin in Harvard's Legal Department, agreed with me before she retired 3 years ago.

http://scottkenan.blogspot.mx/2013/10/letter-to-president-faust-of-harvard.html

The William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust has handsomely endowed Harvard University, and it is NOT in Thomas S. Kenan III's best "Episcopalian and Republican Party" interests for Harvard to get what is now nearly $1 billion USD.

The largest single gift Harvard has ever before received is $250,000,000.00, which was recently. They might not KNOW WHAT TO DO if they got a gift FOUR TIMES THAT SIZE from Tennessee Williams.

You can SEE why Sewanee and the Episcopal Church have been trying to murder me, no???

From offices in a red-shuttered building across from an old Danish fort in St. Croix, Cane Bay’s programmers, marketers and data analysts run payday-loan websites, former employees said.

Secret Network Connects Harvard Money to Payday Loans

Alex Slusky was under pressure to put the money in his private-equity fund to work.
The San Francisco technology financier had raised $1.2 billion in 2007 to buy and turn around struggling software companies. By 2012, investors includingHarvard University were upset that about half the money hadn’t been used, according to three people with direct knowledge of the situation.
Three Americans on the Caribbean island of St. Croix presented a solution. They had built a network of payday-lending websites, using corporations set up in Belize and the Virgin Islands that obscured their involvement and circumvented U.S. usury laws, according to four former employees of their company, Cane Bay Partners VI LLLP. The sites Cane Bay runs make millions of dollars a month in small loans to desperate people, charging more than 600 percent interest a year, said the ex-employees, who asked not to be identified for fear of retaliation.
Enough for now.
