Tammy Beasley, register of deeds for New Hanover County, North Carolina, reacted to SB2 (allows any Public Official to REFUSE to marry or file the papers on marriage on Religious grounds), by releasing this statement:
"It's a non-issue in this office. Everyone in Vital Records including myself are happy to help everyone that comes through our doors.”
But she made it clear that EVERYONE in her office agreed to this, which I felt even here in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico as a big ole LOVE BOMB sent out to EVERYONE (although some won't see it that way).
And we are ALL still waiting to see what First Presbyterian is going to decide on Marriage Equality. 69% of Presbyterians approve, but First Prez is kinda OLD FASHIONED, no???
But look at this GREAT WORK that Tammy's Deeds and Records Office ALSO overseas!!!
There is a LOT to Love about Wilmington!!!
And Tammy Beasley has reminded me of it.
